We have been hearing a lot in the media about the rising childhood obesity rates. It can be a challenge for parents to know what to do for their kids and their family related to obesity treatment and prevention. We have a few great solutions where parents and kids can get tools to help combat obesity and develop a healthy lifestyle.
At Weight Watchers in Southern Nevada, any child ages 10 - 17 years old can attend for free as long as they are accompanied by a paying adult and are five or more pounds overweight as assessed by the child’s physician. There is a one-time $25 materials fee per child upon joining. If a paying adult is not available, the child is welcome to join a Weight Watchers Meeting as a new Member at the discounted youth rate.
